I don't think that it's likely that anyone will read this, most likely because the community that existed when I joined mindsay at it's conception probably no longer exists... But if there's anyone that I once spoke to that I don't speak to anymore, this is the life as of now.
I live in New York City, I go to Cooper Union, and am sort of dual-enrolled in the School of Art and the School of Engineering. That's great an all, but I'm an art major, and don't want to do anything related to art out of school. So unless they let me in to the School of Engineering, which is unlikely, I'm probably out of the door. ...I want to do something involving acoustics or electronics and sound synthesis. A Bachelor of Fine Arts degree probably isn't the right degree for someone who wants to do something so technical.
So I guess I'm talented in throwing full-tuition scholarshits away. This is the second time I've done it. I'm on a roll.
I'm in the process of updating this website: http://www.illwired.com
It'll shortly have old art and new, along with the odd theremins and keyboards I've been designing.
So for those interested, that's it. That's what's happening.
![]() On a trip homeward | For those of you that are wondering, I'm working on helping Brian tweak Mindsay's HTML editor. Eh, it's working... And then it's not. |
Beautiful breezy days, finding a good parking spot, and being able to open the windows on that warm, breezy day- around 5pm, just in time for the early evening sun, and ambient lawnmowers.
Forgive me, but today was beyond excellent. The word of the day was leisure.
This is straight from the cellar- Probably from about a year ago, early into my relationship with Tyler.
It's a shame that it's not in PowerPoint form- certainly much more amusing.
So what of you? What would be your perfect day, today?
Usually, with Mindsay, I like to post things that might be of interest to other people. The last thing that I like to do is ramble on about the banal details of my day. (Not that my days are uninteresting, but I doubt many of you are actually curious about what I did preceeding lunch.)
However, today I make an exception for a delightful little suprise... Usually things like this don't interest me, and the interest factor, without a doubt, is definetley going to be turned all the way down for whomever may find themselves reading this, but on my walk home from class this afternoon, I nearly walked into two families of ducks. Two mothers, and about 12-14 ducklings. Like I said, this is hardly interesting, however, I seem to have had a bit of an emotional experience standing outside, listening to the birds, and watching these new ducklings. And I can't really explain the feeling that came over me. It was just memorable.
So I did the cheesiest thing I could think of. I took pictures.
